Aston Martin has taken the covers off the Vanquish Volante, and let’s just say—it’s not holding back. This stunning drop-top grand tourer is now the most powerful and fastest open-top Aston Martin ever made. In fact, it’s the most powerful front-engine production car currently on sale. Designed as the crown jewel of ultra-luxury high performance, the Volante celebrates 60 years of the iconic ‘Volante’ nameplate in serious style.

Debut

The new Vanquish Volante made its global debut as Aston Martin’s flagship open-top GT. With limited units available for order and deliveries starting in Q3 2025, it’s already turning heads worldwide. Although Aston Martin India has launched the coupe version of the Vanquish, the Volante hasn’t yet been confirmed for the Indian market.

The biggest design challenge? Creating a drop-top that doesn’t compromise performance. And Aston Martin nailed it.

Roof

The Vanquish Volante features a beautifully crafted K-style fabric roof that adds both form and function. It can be opened in just 14 seconds and closed in 16, using a metal switch on the centre console—even while driving at speeds up to 50kmph. But that’s not all. Owners can also operate the roof remotely using the key fob, as long as they’re within two metres of the car.

To top it off, the soft-top has thermal insulation, which offers better temperature control than the Coupe. It’s the kind of detail that makes everyday driving more enjoyable without compromising on luxury.

Structure

Underneath the sleek body lies a bonded aluminium structure that makes the Volante more rigid and focused in its handling. Aston Martin didn’t just chop off the roof and call it a day—they re-engineered the entire underbody for greater performance. Lateral stiffness is up by 75 percent thanks to a reworked underbody design, ensuring the car still drives like a true GT.

There’s also bespoke suspension tuning that adapts to the weight shift of the convertible layout. This includes specially calibrated Bilstein dampers that bring better ride quality and sharper handling to the table.

Options

Personalisation is front and centre with the Vanquish Volante. Buyers can opt for a titanium exhaust system, which not only sounds incredible but is also 10.5kg lighter than the standard steel version.

Inside, the cabin is a tech-luxury haven. There are dual 10.25-inch displays—one for the instrument cluster and the other for infotainment. You’ll also find a premium 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system to keep things immersive on the go.

Standard Sport Plus seats offer solid comfort and support, while optional carbon fibre performance seats dial things up for serious drivers. Of course, Aston Martin’s ‘Q’ division lets buyers tailor every last detail to personal taste—from materials to finishes.

Powertrain

This isn’t just a pretty face. The Vanquish Volante packs a monstrous 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine under its long bonnet. It puts out 824bhp and 1000Nm of torque, all sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. That’s enough to catapult this beauty from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 345kmph.

You also get three driving modes—GT, Sport, and Sport+—so whether you’re cruising or carving up a mountain road, the car adapts to your vibe.
